Spirit is a (fictitious) supplement brand designed to power both mind and body performance. With spirulina as its core ingredient, the brand was born with a dual mission: to optimize human health and to generate real social impact by providing access to clean water in African communities.

The challenge was to create a visual identity that breathed high performance and science, while remaining human and approachable. Spirit doesn’t just nourish the athlete or the professional; it nourishes social change.

My goal was to project a brand that is modern, pure, and purpose-driven.

The name Spirit was chosen for its association with enthusiasm and energy. The goal is for people to feel better about themselves and have the vitality needed to tackle their routines with optimism.

Furthermore, its use to validate a positive attitude is ideal, as the brand seeks to foster healthy habits: drinking more water, exercising, or eating better… That is the spirit!

Visual Identity

The logo is inspired by the spiral shape of the spirulina algae as seen under a microscope. There is a second complementary version inspired by the shapes of the cultivation ponds or pools where the algae grows.

Spirit has up to 5 different combinations to boost different areas of the body and mind:

  • Spirit Mind: Blue Spirulina + Chia seeds

  • Spirit Refresh: Blue Spirulina + Agave

  • Spirit Immunity: Spirulina + Chlorella + Stevia

  • Spirit Body: Spirulina + Soy lecithin

  • Spirit Energy: Spirulina + Brewer’s yeast

Each combination features a different color form, collectively creating a very striking color gradient characteristic of the Spirit brand.

Real Impact (The Purpose)

Spirit is not just nutrition; it is a commitment. The spirulina that powers your mind originates in the Lake Chad basin, a vital region that has lost 95% of its water surface in recent decades. Our mission is to give back to the land and its people what they give to us.

The Water Crisis

Situated between five African nations, Lake Chad sustains 45 million people. However, climate imbalance has transformed this sacred ecosystem into a zone of extreme vulnerability, hindering access to clean water and the economic development of the families who cultivate our core ingredient.

Our Action: A Cycle of Dignity

We collaborate with local organizations to transform every purchase into water infrastructure:

  • Restoration: Supporting the biodiversity of the lake’s ecosystem.

  • Access: Construction of wells and filtration systems for local communities.

  • Dignity: Ensuring that those who cultivate health for the world have a dignified life at home.

WaterAid is an international non-governmental organisation dedicated to providing clean water, decent sanitation facilities and hygiene knowledge to people who do not yet have access to them.
Clean water and decent toilets are a fundamental human right and should be a normal part of everyday life for everyone, everywhere. However, millions of people live in countries where the national economy is not strong enough to develop water and sanitation infrastructure on the scale needed.
With a mission to ensure that access to water and sanitation is no longer a luxury but a right that is fulfilled, WaterAid continues to make a significant difference in the lives of those who need it most.
